Beautiful early depiction of what is now a small portion of Israel’s northern Mediterranean coastline and Lebanon’s southern Mediterranean coastline. Featuring the modern cities of Sidon, Tyre, and Acre, this map is from Adrichom’s Theatrum Terrae Sanctae, an important study as well as the very first regional atlas of the Holy Land. This map, depicting the land given to the Tribe of Asher, is one of ten in the set.
