A attractive, early woodcut map of Italy with Corsica and parts of Sicily and Sardinia with geographical divisions and place names as they were known in the Second Century, A.D., the approximate high water point of the Roman Empire. It was based on geographic data left by the Alexandrian geographer and astronomer, Claudius Ptolemy.
