A beautiful, early carte a figures map of present day Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan, in its first edition. The map is richly decorative: along the top borders are city views of Isfahan, Hormuz, Tabriz and Gilan; costumed figures to the left and right portray men and women of varying class in Persian society in their traditional garb.
