Fine, Hand-Crafted Desk Magnifiers
Made From Various Exotic Woods
Leopold A. Frilot [, 2009]
Leopardwood; Gabon Ebony; Acacia Koa.
The lens features a 2 – 3/8” viewing area with 8X magnification and is permanently attached to the base; overall diameter is 4 inches.
Elegant instruments, exclusively crafted for us by Louisiana master woodworker, Leopold A. Frilot.
The grain patterns on the wooden bases are all natural; no stains have been added to any of the woods, just fine sanding, waxing and polishing. Desk magnifiers are specifically designed to glide across paper - - very useful for reading the fine print on maps.
The illustrated magnifiers are made with:
1 Leopardwood, native to Australia
2 Acacia Koa, native to Hawaii
